What is POLAC And Full List of Courses Offered in POLAC?
POLAC means, Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State. POLAC is not just any university. It’s a place where you earn a university degree and get trained as a police officer all at once.
That means after you graduate, you’re automatically commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

POLAC Admission Requirements For 2025
You Must:
- Be between 17 and 22 years old at the time of admission.
- Have a minimum of 6 credits in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, plus subjects related to your course.
- Sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and pick POLAC as your first choice.
- Score at least 180 and above in UTME (but for hot courses like Law, you should aim higher 200+ is safer).
- Participate in POLAC’s own internal screening (aptitude test).
- Be physically and mentally fit, there will be a medical and physical fitness test.
- Pass the background security check.
Special Tips:
- If you’re aiming for courses like Law, Computer Science, or Forensic Science, higher JAMB scores give you a better chance.
- Male candidates must be at least 1.67 meters tall. Female candidates must be at least 1.62 meters tall.
- No tattoos, no physical deformities, no bad criminal record.
